FOUNDED 1922

Encouraging friendly Golf Competition among senior women since 1922.

Connecting women golfers across Canada through tradition, tournaments, and lifelong friendship.

Our Rich History

  • 1922 Founded in Canada

The Canadian Women's Senior Golf Association (CWSGA) was founded by competitors from Quebec and Ontario to establish an annual tournament for veteran women golfers.

  • 1926 Objects of the Seniors

The mission was defined: to extract health, an equitable mind, and the joy of congenial companions from the game, prioritizing friendship over scores.

  • 1978 Expanding the Network

New Brunswick joined as a member branch, and since then, the National Tournament has rotated annually among Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick.

  • Present Day Growing the Legacy

Each branch now holds its own Field Days, and approximately 140 women participate in the annual National Tournament hosted by a different branch each year.
